Q: Do you use Bio-Diesel fuel for your trucks?
We are the Tampa Bay area’s most responsible junk removal service. In our effort to reduce harmful emissions in the bay area, our UJV’s (Urban Junk Vehicle) are run on BIODIESEL derived of waste vegetable oil or a mixture of BIODIESEL and petroleum (due to reliability issues on some of our trucks). We are very proud of the fact that we use biodiesel. We feel great running our vehicles on a renewable fuel that comes from a waste source. Why? Because it lowers our emissions significantly and reduces the particulate matter in our emissions. Do you really want to be breathing in dirty diesel air from our trucks when we back up into your driveway?
Q: How do I get the best value out of junk removal? Do you have junk removal tips?
There are the secrets to getting the most economical results. Our junk hauling service is based on how quickly and efficiently we can recycle materials. Here are our top 4 junk removal tips on how you and Tampa Bay Trash can save money. 1. Get all of your junk taken at once: we give volume discounts, so the more junk you have the more you save.2. Get together with your neighbors get junk removed at the same time.3. Break down the old junk items so they can fit flatter in the truck.4. Maximize the garbage services you already pay for, stuff your trash can and other recycling bins with as much as you can!Q: What items will TBT take?

Q:Why can't you give me an exact price before you arrive?
TBT is unable to quote a firm price until we are able to see exactly what you want removed and determine how much space the items take in our truck. Pricing is based on volume and nature of the material to be loaded. We will book an appointment with you, and review our pricing structure over the phone based on the amount of junk you tell us you have. Then the truck team will verify the final, no-obligation pricing upon arrival.
Q:How do you accept payment?
You pay after job completion. We accept VISA and MasterCard as well as personal and company checks or cash. We offer invoicing for our preferred commercial clients and customers who have established a credit relationship with us.
Q:Why do you book appointments in two-hour timeslots?
We book appointments in two-hour timeslots in order to provide real arrival expectations, accommodate any traffic delays and unforeseen events due to a previous job that was larger than expected. UJV Teams will call you within an hour before your appointment time and give firm arrival times.
Q:Can you pick up my junk even if I am not on site?
Customers should be on site when the TBT truck arrives. We call within an hour before your appointment time to confirm arrival time. If you are not on site when we arrive, the truck team will assess your load (if it is accessible), determine pricing, and call you for removal confirmation. We will accept a credit card payment over the phone.
Q:What tools do you carry?
A typical UJV (truck) carries two strong and efficient people, a dolly, brooms, a large dustpan, rake, and strong plastic bags. We do not carry ladders or operate equipment. Q:What do you do with the junk?
It depends on what it is. We recycle over 80% of the items we remove (metals, wood, plastic, tires, cardboard, etc.). If items are considered salvageable, we like to take them to an appropriate charity drop-off location for donation. We do our best to recycle as much as we can. We then go to the transfer station or to the dump. Q:Can you move my stuff to another location?
We do not have the proper vehicles or licensing to transport items for moving or relocation purposes. The truck is a "junk" truck and is also dirty inside. We can only take away any items you no longer need. Q:Why wouldn’t I just use a dumpster?
TBT is considerably more economical and efficient than using a dumpster. We arrive, estimate, load up your junk and get out. Two people do the labor and clean up for you. The fee is based on volume – saving you the cost of paying for an entire dumpster (regardless of whether it’s full or not). Dumpsters look unsightly on your property and you have to do all the loading and clean up yourself. With Tampa Bay Trash, you only pay for the amount of junk going in the truck. We are a true full service junk removal and hauling solution. Q:How big is your truck?
The steel box on the back of our truck is 11 feet long, 8 feet wide and 5 feet high. That is equal to about six regular (F-150) pick-up truck loads.Q:Are you licensed to do this work?
Owners, trucks, and employees are fully licensed and insured. Q:When should I book an appointment? Schedule same day or next day service?
Contact us as soon possible as time slots fill up quickly. Once you call we’ll let you know the availability in your area. We specialize in same day and next day trash and garbage removal services. There’s no need to wait days or even weeks – just call us today and we’ll work around your schedule!Q:Can you do jobs after normal business hours?
Contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your options. Special arrangements can be made if required. Q:Can you provide us with a donation receipt for tax purposes?
Because many donation centers are selective about what they can accept, we cannot guarantee that your items will be donatable. We recommend that you call your local charity first if you are interested in obtaining a tax deduction. Q:Do your workers take tips? Is it appropriate?
Yes, they do, it's not required of course, but we feel it would be disrespectful to our workers to prohibit them from receiving tips. If you desire to tip, you can tip them in cash.Q:Is it possible to hire urban Junk removers to help with a last minute move or to help empty a portable storage unit?
TBT offers Hands for Hire. TBT can provide the in-home moving help it takes to carry heavy furniture up staircases and through narrow halls. Reduce your exhaustion and let us provide you with an economical labor solution. We bill by the ¼ hr so, there is no charge for time not used.
